Dura Products Inc., a Canadian company began manufacturing
in 1981 as a subsidiary of Duratech, a Dallas based bottom hole
pump manufacturer.
In 1995, Dura Products acquired Duratech’s entire engineering library
including blueprints and material specifications. This has enabled
us to manufacture a complete line of bottom hole pump products which
are distributed through CE Franklin in Canada and Wilson Supply
in the U.S.A.
In June 1999 Dura Products became a wholly owned subsidiary of
Smith International Inc.
Dura Products operates from a modern 20,800 sqft facility, located
in the McIntyre Industrial Park situated in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Through the Engineering and Manufacturing departments, Dura Products
can provide customers with in house solutions and products to meet
their requirements.
Using the latest technology in CNC lathes, we can produce single
and multiple runs of parts and fittings. This provides maximum flexibility
to meet the oil industries demanding requirements. The Manufacturing
staff consists of Apprentice and Journeymen qualified machinists
and welders. All are cross trained on the equipment to maximize
efficiency. Components are manufactured from standard steels or
specialty materials such as stainless steel, Monel, Admiralty brass
and Cronifer 1925 HMO®, to meet your specific oil well needs.
| As an API 11AX certified manufacturer Dura Products
builds its bottom hole pump components to the API Q1 standard.
This also ensures that Dura Products API parts are fully interchangeable
with other API manufacturers. |
 |
The Quality Assurance department is fully equipped with
measuring and testing equipment to ensure the quality standards
of API Q1 and Dura Products are met. All manufactured components
are fully traceable from the smelter to the end product.
The Engineering department is equipped to produce, analyze
and re-engineer components as required by today’s changing materials
and well conditions. New products are being introduced to help the
operator in reducing costs and increasing production.
