Running and Retrieving
Rod Pumps at their Minimum Length

Dura’s Auto DART (Deployment And Retrieval Tool) is an example of a new design specifically developed to meet a customer’s need – in this case to overcome the difficulty of running long stroke insert pumps where crown height is limited. This tool allows the rod pump to be automatically latched in the closed position for running and pulling, then released to pump as required. This latching and unlatching sequence can be repeated as many times as desired.

The tool can also be used to unseat the pump with a flush-by unit, providing the capability to wash debris from around the pump and pump seating nipple.

This tool provides significant operational and safety advantages over conventional running methods.
